The soundtrack for Book of Memories was also composed by Daniel Licht and will be released on March 27 by Milan Records. They will also be releasing the soundtracks to Origins, Shattered Memories, and Homecoming later this year.

I can’t say the review surprises me a lot, but I do hope they’re wrong about some of it. Still, I will wait until I play it to make up my mind.

It shows your exploration of Wood Side Apartments in SILENT HILL 2 and James’ famous encounter in Room 307 with a certain someone doing very questionable things to a pair of legs…

Somebody really needs to adjust those brightness & contrast settings on these videos.

Nothing new, really. Nothing you haven’t already seen from that 1Up developer demo gameplay vid from a month ago. OF interesting note however, is that it shows more of the startup menu screen and reveals that you must actually choose which set of voices you wish to go with for SH2 before playing it:

- New Voices
- Original Voices

I do give them credit, for actually prompting this option beforehand and not just forcing the new voices on you by default…..as I thought it might. Still don’t believe they should even be on this collection, now that they got the original voices back in the game.

And for Pete’s sake, where’s that grain filter???

I haven’t read the review entirely myself, but the final verdict rating of 7/10 seems to indicate a solid game. Hmmm, personally I’m still gonna wait for those official US reviews to roll out. You know how backwards things can be in Aussie land…

According to MR. Price, the prospects for the series’ outlook don’t seem too promising for him:

“To be honest, it was pretty much exactly what I was expecting. A fun adventure that ultimately falls into the category of ‘Been there, done that’. I now have the feeling ‘Book of Memories’ really will be the last nail in the coffin. Unless the upcoming film skyrockets it back to popularity (please, please no. Just let it rest in peace).”
