GUN: Cybil gave you this and said she hoped you wouldn’t need it. Well, Cybil can hope all she wants, but you’re definitely going to use it. The number of bullets needed depends on the proximity of the baddie. Two or three will work at close range, more if you’re shooting from a distance. You’ll usually need to kick the enemy when it finally is down, do this by pressing “X” repeatedly.

KNIFE: I suppose it’s nice to have one around, but I certainly do not recommend ever using it. It’s far too short-range and difficult to use. your gun should get you by until you get the pipe. Found at the beginning of the game in the café

STEEL PIPE: A 3-foot-long beauty you find in the alley where you thought you saw Cheryl. Reach for it whenever you’re low on firepower. It’s hard to get used to, but with some practice you should be wielding pipes with the best of them.

AXE: It sounds cool, but it’s not very. Use it only when necessary. Found in the room behind the wall in the Antiques shop.

SHOTGUN: Found in the bathroom of the Hell School, this is preferable to the Handgun. The catch? Ammo is scarce, really scarce.

HAMMER: Hard to use, but really cool if you master it. Found in the Hospital boiler room.

HUNTING RIFLE: A lot more powerful than the shotgun, but not much ammo. Found by the Larva boss.

CHAINSAW: OH YEAH! I love the chainsaw. You will too. You can get this or the rock drill in Next Fear mode, not both. You also need to pick up the gasoline tank in the garage.

KATANA: You have to beat the game to get this, it’s in the House on Levin Street. Pretty powerful, and you move with it when you slice the baddies.

ROCK DRILL: Found under the bridge control room (ground level door). You can get this or the chainsaw in Next Fear mode, not both. You also need to pick up the gasoline tank in the garage.

HYPER BLASTER: OH YEAH! To get this, you need to get the UFO ending, then start a new game from the same file. It’s in your inventory when you start. It’s a “high-powered handgun with infrared scope and unlimited bullets.” It takes a while to kill an enemy with this, but it stuns them until they’re dead and has unlimited ammo. I understand that there are yellow and green rays also as upgrades, you need to get a good/perfect ranking for these (I think, I don’t know; I spend so much time roaming to pick up all the items that I get a terrible time).
