This my own trailer for Silent Hill 8 – Downpour.

I more than any one was devastated to hear Akira Yamaoka wasn’t returning to do the soundtrack, although I believe Daniel Licht will do a good job I don’t think he could capture the same emotion you get when listening to Akira Yamaoka’s music.

I didn’t want to do music in the style of Akira like I usually do. I wanted to reinvent the music to match the reinvention of the gameplay.
But I still wanted to give it that signature Silent Hill ambience to it.

The music and sound effects are done by me as well as the video editing.

I have included all the aspects that made the seven previous soundtracks so good guitars, pads, pianos, drums and those unhuman mechanical and industrial noises.
